How to Add or Remove Slide Numbers in Google Slides

Adding slide numbers to your Google Slides presentations can help the audience follow along and give the presentation a more professional look. Slide numbers also make it easier for you as the presenter to quickly refer back to specific slides.

Prerequisites

Before we get started, make sure you have:

Add Slide Numbers to All Slides

  1. Open the Google Slides presentation
  2. Click Insert > Page numbers on the top menu Insert page numbers
  3. In the dialog box, select the Apply to all slides checkbox Apply slide numbers to all slides
  4. Click Apply

Slide numbers will now appear in the footer of all slides.
