How to Embed a YouTube Video & Other Media in Your PowerPoint Presentation

Embed a YouTube Video

Embedding a YouTube video into a PowerPoint slide only takes a few simple steps:

  1. Open PowerPoint and navigate to the slide where you want to add the video. Click on the location within the slide where you want the video to appear.
  2. Go to the Insert tab and click on Video. Select Online Video from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the Insert Video window, paste the full URL of the YouTube video you want to embed and press Enter.
  4. The video will now be embedded in the slide. You can resize or reposition it by clicking on it and dragging the handles around the edge.

  1. In your web browser, open the webpage you want to embed. Copy the URL from the address bar.
  2. In PowerPoint, navigate to the slide where you want the content to appear. Click on the location within the slide.
  3. On the Insert tab, click on Online Video and select Screencast-O-Matic.
  4. In the Insert Video window, paste the webpage URL into the field and click the arrow icon to embed the content.
  5. Resize and position the embedded content as needed.

The web content will remain live, so if the webpage updates the changes will appear in your presentation slide as well.
